New York Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie had an MRI on his knee following a non-contact injury, according to Rich Cimini of ESPN.com. A source also told Cimini that the MRI showed a hyperextended knee for Cromartie, whose status for Sunday remains uncertain.
Antonio Cromartie injury: Jets CB undergoes MRI on knee
The New York Jets could be without their top cornerback following a non-contact injury, reported to be a hyperextended knee.

Cromartie injured his knee in practice on Thursday and Cimini described the team as "concerned" about his status moving forward. He had emerged as the team's top defensive back after the trade of Darrelle Revis to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the offseason.
There is no official update on his status at this time, but if he misses time the focus will turn to first-round pick Dee Milliner, who has been inconsistent in his rookie season. An absence would also push Darrin Walls back into a starting role just two weeks after being replaced in the lineup by Milliner. Walls was moved to a rotational role after struggling in the season's first two weeks.
Cromartie has totaled 15 tackles and a forced fumble in five starts. He has not registered a defended pass in 2013, but has been the team's most reliable corner. The injury comes at a bad time as the Jets face the Pittsburgh Steelers' deep ball offense this week where it was expected Cromartie would cover Antonio Brown.
