Antonio Cromartie expected to play vs. Steelers

Antonio Cromartie is still expected to play on Sunday despite injuring his knee in practice Thursday.

New York Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie is expected to play in Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Cromarties appears to have avoided a serious knee injury.

Cromartie left practice Thursday after suffering a non-contact injury to his knee. An MRI revealed that he only had a hyperextended knee, and he was officially listed as questionable for Week 6. Schefter’s latest report indicates that Cromartie will indeed suit up, but will likely be less than 100 percent.

Cromartie had been playing below his dominant level of 2012 and has yet to record an interception this season, but he's still the team's best cornerback and an important part of New York's defense. His loss would have been a big blow to a secondary that's already missing rookie Dee Milliner with a hamstring injury. Kyle Wilson will likely get the start in Milliner's place again this week, with Cromartie shadowing Antonio Brown.
