Raiders vs. Chiefs 2013 final score: Kansas City holds off Oakland to stay undefeated

With their best start in a decade, the Chiefs continue to keep pace with the Denver Broncos in the AFC West.

For most of the game it wasn't easy, but the Chiefs beat the Raiders, 24-7, on Sunday to improve their record to 6-0. Kansas City won just two games last season but this is the team's best start since winning its first nine games in 2003. Though the final score doesn't show it, Oakland did its best to keep it close.

The Chiefs led 14-7 in the fourth quarter, but a pair of Terrelle Pryor interceptions helped make the lead insurmountable in the final minutes. Pryor finished with one touchdown and three interceptions, also rushing for 60 yards. Kansas City recorded 10 sacks of Pryor, with Tamba Hali accounting for 3.5 of those.

Jamaal Charles helped lead the Chiefs to the victory with two touchdown runs, while safety Husain Abdullah had a pick-six that made it 24-7 with only 1:35 left in the game.

The Raiders fall to 2-4 on the year.

Injury report

Chiefs defensive tackle Dontari Poe limped off of the field with a leg injury. Left tackle Branden Albert left with a leg injury as well.

Raiders backup center Andre Gurode left with a knee injury.
