Danny Amendola ruled out with head injury

Though he was questionable to play this week with a groin injury, Amendola toughed it out and started but has now left with a possible concussion.

Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola has not had good luck with injuries in his career and he may have unfortunately suffered another one on Sunday. After catching a pass against New Orleans in the fourth quarter of their Week 6 matchup, Amendola was hit hard by two Saints defenders and was slow to start moving after they had gotten off of him. He has been ruled out with a head injury.

Eventually Amendola was helped up, but as he was being taken off of the field by medical officials, he appeared to be somewhat out of it as he was walking away. Certainly it would seem that Amendola will be checked out for a possible concussion.

He has already missed three games this year and was questionable this week with a groin injury. He missed 20 possible games with the Rams over the previous two seasons.

Amendola leaves with two catches for 0 yards on the day.
