The Green Bay Packers got mixed news on Monday, as it was reported wide receiver Randall Cobb and linebacker Nick Perry could miss multiple weeks as they recover from injuries sustained in Sunday's win over the Baltimore Ravens. Reports weren't all bad, however, as fellow receiver James Jones could play as soon as this week.

The Green Bay Packers got mixed results on their injured players Monday.

Cobb was injured as rookie safety Matt Elam dove for the receiver, making contact with his knee and forcing him out for the remainder of Sunday's game. There is no official diagnosis on his injury at this time, but Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said that the injury will force him to miss "multiple weeks".
There was a silver lining for Green Bay’s offense, as ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports James Jones could return after he was diagnosed with a sprained his PCL following Sunday’s game. Jones could be able to play as early as this week based on his doctor’s recommendations.
The injuries to Cobb and Jones were a case of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts. Both players were on pace for over 900 yards receiving and while losing one would have hurt, being without both could have been devastating for a team looking make a comeback in the NFC North after staring the season 3-2 and falling behind the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears.
It was also reported that linebacker Nick Perry broke his foot on Sunday and will miss significant time. WDUZ reports that Perry will return in 2013, but it’s unclear how much time he will miss. There were big expectations for Perry following a rookie season that showed promise, but limited him to six games with injury. Sunday’s win allowed him to eclipse his 2012 totals, amassing 19 tackles and 3.0 sacks in five games.
Rookie Andy Mulumba will start in Perry’s place, but it’s unclear how he will perform. The undrafted free agent out of Eastern Michigan was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2013 Canadian Football League draft, but elected not to report to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and instead try for an NFL roster spot. He has appeared in five games this season, registering 10 tackles.
