Josh Freeman will be making his Vikings debut in Week 7 against the Giants.

The Vikings signed Freeman after he was released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He spent one game inactive while trying to learn the team's offense, but they feel he is ready to go this week. Christian Ponder is still dealing with a rib injury and Matt Cassel was less than impressive in last week's loss to the Carolina Panthers.
Freeman is getting a fresh start this year after a messy divorce from the Buccaneers. Through three games, he completed just 45 percent of his passes for 571 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions. The Vikings are willing to give him a midseason audition with the team as he looks for a new contract in the offseason. He is slated to make $3 million with Minnesota.
