Jim Irsay clarifies comments on Peyton Manning

Colts owner Jim Irsay is tweeting again. Nobody wins this round.

Brian Spurlock-US PRESSWIRE

Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay is making another dustup in the media this week. Denver Broncos head coach John Fox blasted Irsay for making comments about Peyton Manning that he felt were "disappointing and inappropriate."

Irsay has been in the media spotlight this week after suggesting that the Colts should have won more than one Super Bowl while Manning was there. He also stated that Manning personally told the team to draft Andrew Luck before being released.

After his initial comments, Irsay tried to clarify things in the only way he knows how -- with a series of incomprehensible tweets. He also took several shots at ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, because this is Jim Irsay we’re talking about.

Manning makes his return to Indianapolis this week when the Broncos and Colts face off on Sunday Night Football. Don’t be surprised if this isn’t the last we will hear from Irsay or Fox before the week is over.
