Danieal Manning injury: Texans place safety on injured reserve
A strange and disappointing season for the Texans took another turn on Wednesday.

Losing Manning is just one in a series of disappointing events for the Texans this season. Houston has lost four straight games, three by blowout, While some fans cheered an ankle injury to quarterback Matt Schaub on Sunday, he hasn’t been the only one hurting. Last week, the Texans placed tight end Owen Daniels on injured reserve with designation to return and now this latest to Manning. An eight-year veteran originally drafted by the Chicago Bears, Manning has been one of the key veterans in a secondary that has allowed the fewest passing yards in the league this season.
Even though teams don’t really need to pass it when they are up two or three touchdowns, the Texans pass defense was still pretty good when called upon. That will be more difficult to do without Manning.
