NFL picks and predictions, Patriots vs. Jets 2013: New England looking to sweep New York
NFL experts are picking the winner of the AFC East battle between the Patriots and Jets in Week 7.
The Patriots will visit the Jets on Sunday in a matchup that could have huge implications on the AFC East. Tom Brady and the Patriots are riding high after a win over the formerly undefeated Saints in Week 6 and will look to repeat those results against the Jets. However, New York rookie quarterback Geno Smith has been resilient this season and the Jets defense will be a tough task in this game. The Patriots beat the Jets earlier in the season in Week 2.
The Patriots are considered 4.5-point favorites on the road against the Jets. With those odds taken into consideration, the CBS Sports eight-man panel still clearly favors New England with a 7-1 vote. However, when picking straight up, the Patriots get the nod from CBS Sports with a clean sweep. The two analysts at Yahoo! Sports are also in favor of the Patriots.
The five-man panel of SB Nation has a lone wolf in this matchup. Stephen White was the only expert on the panel to pick the Jets.
The Jets will host the Patriots at 1 p.m. ET Sunday on CBS.
