Jarvis Jones injury: Steelers LB diagnosed with concussion

The Steelers could without Jarvis Jones on Sunday.

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sport

Pittsburgh Steelers rookie linebacker Jarvis Jones has been diagnosed with a concussion, according to the team's PR man Burt Lauten. Jones was held out of practice on Wednesday with a head injury and was later diagnosed with the concussion. The rookie made the Steelers' medical staff aware of the injury on Monday and was not cleared to practice, per the team's public relations department.

Jones likely suffered the injury during the Week 6 win over the Jets. The former Georgia Bulldog had two tackles in the game. He has started four of the five games that he has appeared in so far this season and has a compiled a total of 18 tackles. His loss would likely move Jason Worilds into the starting lineup.

The Steelers have suffered from a ton of injuries this season, which are partly to blame for their 1-4 record. Pittsburgh is currently in last place in the AFC North and will host the Ravens on Sunday.
