The Buccaneers will be without Jeff Demps for at least a few weeks. Head coach Greg Schiano told the media on Thursday that Demps had surgery on his injured groin, according to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. The first-year player was injured on Sunday in the Buccaneers' loss to the Eagles.
Jeff Demps injury: Buccaneers KR undergoes groin surgery
The Buccaneers will be without kick returner/wide receiver Jeff Demps for a while.

It is unclear how long Demps will be out of action or if he will be placed on injured reserve. He appeared in just two games this season, collecting one catch for 14 yards, 21 rushing yards on three carries and also and average of 23.3 yards on four kick returns. He was acquired in the offseason in trade with New England for LeGarrette Blount. He never played a down for the Patriots.
The Buccaneers are currently 0-5 and have yet to produce more than 20 points. They will travel to Atlanta in Week 7 to play the 1-4 Falcons.
