Titans have no plans to trade Kenny Britt, want him more involved in offense

Even though he lost his starting job and has just seven catches on the year, Britt is “handling himself well,” according to his coach.

Titans receiver Kenny Britt isn't have a very good season on the field, but Tennessee has no plans to trade him this year. Despite having just seven catches for 59 yards and being dropped from the starting lineup, coach Mike Munchak says that he is "proud" of Britt and that he'd like to see him get more involved in the offense again, according to Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean.

“It is not easy, and it is frustrating for him, I’m sure. I am sure he is hearing it from a lot of people. I know his expectations are so high. But he is handling himself really well.”

Britt has fallen well out of favor in recent years after he had shown much promise early in his career. The former first-round pick seemed to be breaking out in his third year, gaining 289 yards in his first three games of 2011, but an injury forced him to miss the rest of the season. He had just 589 yards in his return last season and drops have plagued him this year, putting him lower on the depth chart than players like Nate Washington and Kendall Wright.

Britt is a free agent after the season.
