New England Patriots cornerback Aqib Talib has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the New York Jets. Per beat writer Jeff Howe, Talib did not travel with the team on Saturday.
Aqib Talib ruled out for Week 7, per report
The Pats’ star cornerback did not travel with the team and won’t be playing in Sunday’s game with a hip injury.

Talib suffered a strained hip flexor in last week's win over the New Orleans Saints. He got limited practice and was listed as doubtful on Friday's injury report. Talib has been one of the best cornerbacks in the league this season, recording four interceptions, nine passes defended, 15 tackles and a forced fumble.
The Patriots defense has been ravaged by injuries in recent weeks. They lost defensive tackle Vince Wilfork and linebacker Jerod Mayo to season-ending injuries and will be without their top cornerback this week. Alfonzo Dennard and Kyle Arrington will be the starting corners with Talib out.
The offense got some good injury news on Saturday. Tight end Rob Gronkowski is traveling with the team and will be making his season debut after he was finally cleared by his doctors.
