New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is active for the team's Week 7 game against the New York Jets.
Rob Gronkowski will play for Patriots vs. Jets
Gronk will make his highly anticipated 2013 debut for the Patriots.
This marks the first time in the 2013 season that Gronkowski is active after undergoing multiple surgeries in the offseason for back and forearm injuries. Gronkowski was patient in his recovery, not wanting to rush back into action after last season. He’s reportedly been practicing at a high level for weeks.
Meanwhile, wide receiver Danny Amendola and cornerback Aqib Talib are inactive for New England. Amendola suffered a concussion in Week 6 against the New Orleans Saints, while Talib is dealing with a hip flexor suffered in the same game.
The Jets will be without top wide receiver Santonio Holmes, who is still nursing a hamstring injury.
