Greg Schiano blocks Dexter Jackson from practice

Schiano isn’t earning a reputation for being a nice man.

Daniel Shirey-USA TODAY Sports

Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Greg Schiano has burned plenty of bridges in his time in the NFL. He angered coaches for his aggressive approach to kneel downs at the end of games, he came off looking bad after the Josh Freeman drama, and now it's come out that Schiano has been keeping former Buccaneers from the practice field to present distractions.

Former Buccaneers safety and Super Bowl MVP Dexter Jackson attempted to visit practice and was run out by Schiano, according to CBS. He said Schiano told him he was a distraction and sent one of his assistants over, who asked who Jackson was and told him to leave.

Jackson regularly brings kids by practice as part of his case management work. He was told he could not bring them by on Fridays anymore, because of they were a potential distraction. Here’s what Jackson told CBS:

”They told me to stop bringing kids on Friday because I’m distracting professional players.

“I’m distracting professional players by bringing kids who have succeeded in school, did well, stayed out of trouble, and they’re a distraction?” Jackson questioned the decision of the Buccaneers and Greg Schiano. “If they’re a distraction, I’m worried about fans during away games. How can that be a distraction?”
