Reggie Wayne injury: Colts WR has torn ACL, out for season

The Colts might even look to add a wide receiver before the trading deadline. If Wayne is out for the season, Indianapolis will have to add some depth at wide receiver and could look to add a bonafide No. 1 target for Luck.

UPDATE: Adam Schefter confirms that Reggie Wayne has torn his ACL and his season is over.

Colts blog Stampede Blue is bracing for bad news:

Wayne will have the benefit of a bye week next week, so he could return in Week 9 to keep alive his streak of 189 straight games played. On the season, he has 38 receptions for 503 yards and two touchdowns. He had five receptions for 50 yards before leaving Sunday’s game.
