The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are 0-6 for the sixth time in franchise history and things don't look like they will be turning around any time soon after a 31-23 loss at the hands of the Atlanta Falcons.
Buccaneers vs. Falcons 2013: Tampa Bay has the losing bug
The Buccaneers lost again and are in a downward spiral that will be difficult to pull out of.

The loss was just another step in a downward spiral that looks to be bringing everyone down in Tampa Bay. According to JC De La Torre of SB Nation’s Buccaneers blog, Bucs Nation, the team has the losing bug:
There is a vicious infection ripping through the Tampa Bay Buccaneers locker room right now. It’s not MRSA (although that’s probably still kicking around as well). It’s losing. Losing is contagious, you start to doubt your own ability to perform. Your coaches ability to put you into positions to win. Your teammates ability to get the job done. You start to try to do the other guys’ job or take that one extra step trying to do something...anything to turn it around. In the end, you make things worse.
With a Thursday night game against the ascending Carolina Panthers on the way, followed by a road trip to face the Seattle Seahawks, the tailspin doesn't look like it has an end in sight.
For Atlanta, the victory meant the end of a three-game losing streak prior to their Week 6 bye. Despite being without wide receivers Roddy White and Julio Jones, Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan still managed to piece together a solid day that earned praises from James Rael of SB Nation's Falcons blog, The Falcoholic:
MVP of this game has to be Matt Ryan. Without his number one and number two guys, he went 20-of-26 for 273 yards and three touchdowns. Ryan now has 13 touchdowns and only three interceptions through six games - I’d say he’s earning that new contract.
The Falcons will look to make it two in a row when they travel to face the Arizona Cardinals in Week 8.
