AFC East injuries 2013, Week 7: Knee injury temporarily sidelines Bills RB Fred Jackson

The AFC East was mostly injury-free in Week 7.

Robert Mayer-USA TODAY Sports

The AFC East was able to avoid major injuries in Week 7. Sunday featured a matchup between the Dolphins and Bills along with the Patriots and Jets facing off against one another. The bitter rivalries for these four teams in the two contests did not lead to many bumps and bruises.

Bills running back Fred Jackson suffered a knee injury against the Dolphins but was able to return to the game and score a touchdown, according to ESPN's John Clayton. Jackson's touchdown allowed the Bills to build a 14-0 lead in the first quarter and eventually a 23-21 win over the Dolphins.

Miami was able to avoid any notable injuries, according to the team’s official website. Linebacker Dannell Ellerbe was inactive during Sunday’s game because of a shoulder injury.

Cornerback Aqib Talib (hip) and wide receiver Danny Amendola (head) missed Sunday's game against the Jets but the Patriots avoid adding to the injury report in the loss to New York. The Jets were also able to avoid the injury bug in Week 7.
