Vikings vs. Giants 2013 inactives: Brandon Jacobs inactive for New York

The Giants are down another running back with Brandon Jacobs inactive for Monday Night Football.

New York has been plagued by injuries at running back this season and the Giants will be without starter Brandon Jacobs on Monday night against Minnesota.

Jacobs was listed as questionable due to a hamstring injury, but the 31-year-old running back is inactive for the game. Jacobs is coming off his best performance of the season but suffered the injury late in the game against Chicago. He was limited during the week and did not practice on Saturday. David Wilson is also inactive as he remains out due to a neck injury. With Wilson and Jacobs out and Da'Rel Scott on injured reserve, New York is expected to start rookie Michael Cox. Cox is yet to record a NFL regular season rushing attempt. Peyton Hillis, who the Giants signed earlier in the week, is also expected to play. Jason Pierre-Paul is active for New York. He missed practice on Friday and Saturday due to an illness.

Adrian Peterson had a hamstring injury of his own, but the reigning NFL MVP is active. Peterson was limited in practice on Thursday and Saturday and missed practice on Friday. Backup cornerback A.J. Jefferson is inactive due to an ankle injury while reserve wide receiver Rodney Smith is out with a hip injury.

Here is a complete look at the inactive lists for both teams.

Giants inactives:

RB Brandon Jacobs, RB David Wilson, CB Jayron Hosley, QB Ryan Nassib, S Cooper Taylor, TE Adrien Robinson and DT Johnathan Hankins.

Vikings inactives:

QB Matt Cassel, CB A.J. Jefferson, LB Gerald Hodges, OG Jeff Baca, WR Rodney Smith, DT Chase Baker, DE Justin Trattou
