Still in search of their first win of the season, the New York Giants lead Minnesota, 10-7, at halftime on Monday Night Football.

New York got off to a good start, running 17 plays on its opening possession which ultimately ended with a field goal. The drive lasted 9:36, eating up the majority of the first quarter. Minnesota ran just six offensive plays in the first quarter, but led 7-3 after Marcus Sherels took broke free for an 86-yard punt return for a touchdown.
Eli Manning has struggled most of this season, but he found some success in the first half, He completed 15-of-23 passes for 126 yards and a 24-yard touchdown pass to Rueben Randle. Manning's numbers would be even better if not for a few drops by his receivers.
Josh Freeman wasn't on the field a lot in his Minnesota debut, but he didn't do a lot when he was. He completed 7-of-16 passes for 74 yards. He didn't get much help from the running game either. New York did a good job of limiting Adrian Peterson, and the reigning NFL MVP gained just nine yards on eight caries.
The Giants dominated time of possession in the first half, controlling the ball for 19:58.
