The Seattle Seahawks have signed fullback Michael Robinson, the veteran confirmed on his Twitter page.
Michael Robinson signs with Seahawks
The veteran fullback makes his return to Seattle after being a cap casualty in the preseason.

Robinson comes back to Seattle after spending the previous three seasons there. He was one of the top lead blockers in the league, making the Pro Bowl as an alternate in 2011. Robinson was released before the regular season after missing most of preseason with an illness, but the Seahawks need a fullback on the roster with Derrick Coleman and Spencer Ware both out with injury.
The 30-year-old played quarterback at Penn State, finishing fifth in the Heisman voting in 2005. He switched positions upon entering the NFL, spending four seasons with the San Francisco 49ers before signing with the Seahawks. He is highly regarded as a locker room leader and became a fan favorite for his YouTube series "The Real Rob Report." Assuming he's back in football shape, his return will be a welcome one for a Seahawks team depleted by injuries along the offensive line.
