The Indianapolis Colts have officially placed wide receiver Reggie Wayne on injured reserve, ending his season. They signed cornerback Jalil Brown to fill his roster spot.
Colts place Reggie Wayne on injured reserve
The receiver’s 189-game streak comes to an end.

The move will end Wayne's streak of 189 consecutive games starting. He suffered a torn ACL in Sunday night's win over the Denver Broncos. Wayne was having another solid season before the injury, leading the Colts with 38 catches for 503 yards in seven games. The 34-year-old is one of the all-time greats in Colts history, recording 1,006 catches, 13,566 yards and 80 touchdowns in 13 seasons with the team.
Wayne's loss is a major blow to the Colts. T.Y. Hilton and Darrius Heyward-Bey are expected to take over as the new starters, although the Colts could ask more out of Coby Fleener and LaVon Brazill. Indianapolis' offense has been ravaged by injuries this year, losing Wayne, Ahmad Bradshaw, Vick Ballard and Dwayne Allen with season ending-injuries.
