The London series has featured two games this season. The Steelers faced the Vikings in Week 3, while the Jaguars will play the 49ers in Week 8. The NFL is looking to expand the series to three games in the near future, but the Jaguars are locked up for at least three more appearances over the next few years. The NFL is open to having Jacksonville play two home games in Europe.
The NFL has hosted games in London for several years. While attendance has been positive, the league is looking to prove it can sustain a consistent audience overseas. The league hopes to have a team in London on a full-time basis in the future.
