The Lions dropped out of first place in the NFC North after losing to the Cincinnati Bengals, 27-24, last week. They were 2.5-point favorites, but failed to cover when a last-second field goal handed them the loss. Detroit is now 4-3 on the season and are also 4-3 against the spread. They are getting healthier on offense with Calvin Johnson's knee concern behind him.
Dallas now sits in first place in the NFC East, beating the Philadelphia Eagles, 17-3. They were three-point underdogs and made bettors happy by beating the spread and getting the win. Dallas is 4-3 in the standings and have been a good bet in Vegas, going 6-1 against the spread. The defense shut down Chip Kelly's offense even without DeMarcus Ware.
