Josh Gordon has been the subject of trade rumors lately with the NFL's trade deadline looming Tuesday. The second-year wideout has been electric for the Cleveland Browns, but he is also coming off a two-game suspension to open the season for violating the league's substance abuse, with another violation resulting in a season-long ban. As a result, the Browns could be open to a deal. They have reportedly already received several trade offers.
Trade Rumors affecting Josh Gordon’s play, according to Browns OC
Norv Turner isn’t a fan of the recent publicity that Josh Gordon has garnered with the trade deadline fast approaching. The Browns offensive coordinator said rumors are affecting the wideout’s play.

Browns offensive coordinator Norv Turner said Thursday that he is worried that the trade rumors could have an adverse effect on Gordon’s ability to perform. Via the Akron Beacon Journal:
“I would hope not, but I’m realistic to know that it does,” Turner said Thursday before practice. “He’s a young guy. He’s not very experienced. He wasn’t the go-to guy as a young player, so this is all a new thing for him. I think when you add those things to it, it can affect him. Obviously, we’re doing our best to focus and let him understand that he’s our guy, and we want him to be as good as he can get.”
Gordon is coming off his worst game of the season thus far. Last week, he caught just two passes for 21 yards off six targets in a loss to the Green Bay Packers. Those numbers were season lows. On Wednesday, Gordon admitted that he is "tired" of the constant rumors. Per ESPN:
“I honestly wish if it was going to happen it would have happened already, instead of dragging on,” Gordon said. “If a trade offer came in and that’s what they wanted to do, so be it. If not, then just let it be known that this is where I’m gonna be. Honestly, it’s part of the game and I’m dealing with it.”
Gordon will likely play at least one more game in a Browns uniform this weekend when Cleveland visits the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. What happens between the end of the game Sunday and 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday remains to be seen. The only thing that's certain is that Gordon should be able to go back to focusing on football soon.
