Darrelle Revis on whether Bucs support Greg Schiano: ‘I don’t know’
When given the opportunity to support Greg Schiano, Darrelle Revis balked. Is time dwindling for the Buccaneers head coach in Tampa Bay?

“I don’t know,” Revis said. “... I don’t think guys are literally going out there and trying to do their own thing. You know, in every game there are mistakes up and down the board. You know, the word that we have to get to and we have to focus on is consistency. That’s all. And at this point, that’s a hard word for us to try to do, to try to do that, to be consistent.”
Revis added that he didn’t know if Schiano would be fired soon, and clarified that he did not put up the “Fire Schiano” billboards currently residing in Tampa Bay.
Players have been unwilling to offer outward support of Schiano when given the chance, though they haven’t made any publicly negative comments, either. That said, there appears to be a lot going on behind the scenes, with recent reports indicating that Schiano has lost control of the locker room. An NFL.com column by Michael Silver quoted sources within the Bucs’ organization who said that Schiano’s totalitarian coaching style has made playing for him unbearable. One player likened the experience to “being in Cuba.”
Losing games is bad enough, but Schiano is reportedly in danger of being fired mid-season if he can’t improve morale. Based on Revis’ comments, it does not appear that his players will be lending him support any time soon.
