James Starks, Eddie Lacy will share Packers backfield

For just the second time this season, both James Starks and Eddie Lacy will be healthy enough to contribute to the Packers rushing attack in the same game.

Eddie Lacy and James Starks will be back to sharing the running back duties in the Green Bay Packers' backfield, according to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

Starks and Lacy have the majority of the Packers’ rushing yards this season, but the two have only played together in one game this season. Both Lacy and Starks have missed time with various injuries, giving both a chance to carry the load at times. Now, the two will have to settle back into the timeshare that was expected coming into the season.

While the two will be sharing the running back duties, Lacy will remain the starter and get the bulk of the work. Starks had a few strong games in Lacy’s absence, though, and has earned a shot to get some extra work.

Both Lacy and Starks should find plenty of running room in Week 8 when the Packers head to Minnesota to take on the Vikings for Sunday Night Football.
