Denver Broncos tight end Julius Thomas left Sunday's game against Washington with an ankle injury in the third quarter.
Julius Thomas injury: Broncos TE leaves game after hurting ankle
The Broncos’ passing offense may have lost one of its weapons.

After twisting the ankle, Thomas limped off the field and slammed his helmet on the bench in frustration. The Broncos trainers were attending to Thomas on the bench when the Redskins drove down the field to tie up the game. Thomas has been ruled questionable to return to the game, according to Mike Klis of the Denver Post.
Klis also notes that Thomas has a history of ankle injuries, which is part of the reason why he couldn’t stay on the field during his first two NFL seasons.
Thomas is having a breakout season in just his third NFL season. He has eight touchdowns in the Broncos’ seven games this season and entered Sunday’s contest with 422 receiving yards.
