Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III was injured in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos and is listed as "questionable" with a left knee injury.

Griffin III was hit as he threw late in the game and remained on the field for several minutes. He walked to the sideline and was being examined by team doctors, including Dr. James Andrews, on the training table. It was a scary moment for the quarterback as he grabbed at his knee while down on the field, but not the one that was surgically repaired this offseason.

Kirk Cousins has entered the game and it's unlikely RGIII will return against the Broncos, who have the game under control late in the fourth quarter.

Griffin was walking along the sideline and talked to head coach Mike Shanahan after hopping off the training table and away from team doctors. It appears the Redskins will be keeping him out of the game as a precaution. Shanahan was heavily criticized following his team's playoff loss last season for not pulling his franchise quarterback from the game when he was noticeably hurt.
