Packers vs. Vikings 2013 inactives: Casey Hayward active for the first time

The Packers will be without Clay Matthews and Brad Jones on Sunday night, but will see the return of cornerback Casey Hayward.

Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

The Packers will be without quite a few players against the Vikings on Sunday night, but cornerback Casey Hayward will be active for the first time this season. The second-year player made Charles Woodson expendable this offseason but has not played in a game since injuring his hamstring in the preseason. Starting wide receiver James Jones will be missed on offense with a knee injury. Linebackers Clay Matthews and Brad Jones will also miss the NFC North clash.

On the Vikings side, there are not may surprises. Quarterback Josh Freeman is notable as he suffered a concussion in Week 7's loss to the Giants. He was never expected to play and Matt Cassel will serve as Christian Ponder's backup.

Here are the entire list of inactives for Sunday Night Football:

TE Jermichael Finley
LB Brad Jones
WR James Jones
LB Clay Matthews
CB James Nixon
LB Nick Perry
TE Ryan Taylor

RB Matt Asiata
G Jeff Baca
DT Chase Baker
TE Rhett Ellison
QB Josh Freeman
CB Shawn Prater
WR Rodney Smith
