Julius Thomas injury: Broncos TE will undergo MRI on Monday
Denver is holding its breath over its star tight end, who had to leave early against the Redskins.

Thomas was injured in the second half of Denver's 45-21 win over the Washington Redskins on Sunday, appearing to favor his ankle while hobbling to the bench. Thomas went into the locker room and did not return. What makes this injury even more worrisome for the Broncos is Thomas' history of ankle problems, per Mike Klis of the Denver Post.
On his way to the tunnel he was visibly frustrated, slamming his helmet in anger into the bench. Thomas has been one of the most productive tight ends in the league this season, hauling in 39 passes for 451 yards and eight touchdowns.
Should Thomas be out for any length of time, Jacob Tamme and Joel Dreessen will see increased action. The Broncos now enter a bye week, coming at a great time for this banged-up team.
