New York Giants running back Andre Brown is close to being fully recovered from a broken leg sustained in preseason.
Andre Brown injury: Giants RB expects to return in two weeks
The New York Giants are poised get back an offensive weapon soon.

Brown told Ralph Vacchiano of the NY Daily News that he feels "great," and expects to return against the Oakland Raiders following New York's bye week. His return comes at a time where the Giants are in need of help at running back, ranking 29th in the NFL and averaging 69.9 yards per game on the ground.
Due to the team's lack of talent at the position it's possible Brown will return in a starting role. The fifth-year running back played in four career games before arriving in New York in 2012, where he ran for 385 yards in ten games including a 113-yard performance against the Carolina Panthers on Thursday Night Football.
Injuries have ravaged the team's backfield this year after the team parted ways with Ahmad Bradshaw before the season. David Wilson was named starter, but was lost to a neck injury. He did not require surgery, but it remains unclear when he'll be able to return. The Giants have leaned on free agent signings Brandon Jacobs and Peyton Hillis over the last two weeks, but getting another rusher is of vital importance.
