News regarding the NFL trade deadline has been quiet, but one player that is on the market is Washington Redskins tight end Fred Davis, according to a report from Albert Breer of NFL.com.
Redskins trade rumors: Fred Davis shopped at deadline
The Redskins have featured Jordan Reed and Logan Paulsen more at tight end, making Fred Davis an expendable trade option.

Davis, 27, was once considered one of the most promising, young tight ends in the NFL after accumulating 59 receptions for 796 yards and three touchdowns in 2011. He received the franchise tag in 2012, but hasn’t been a factor in the Washington offense since suffering an Achilles tendon tear during the 2012 season.
In four appearances with the Redskins in 2013, Davis has tallied just three receptions for 25 yards, as the team has instead elected to feature Jordan Reed and Logan Paulsen much more often at tight end.
The question now is whether or not the Redskins will find any takers on a 27-year-old tight end that could be released if a trade partner isn’t found. The deadline for a deal is 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
