The Miami Dolphins have officially placed wide receiver Brandon Gibson on injured reserve, ending his season. They have yet to announce a corresponding roster move.
Brandon Gibson injury: Dolphins WR placed on injured reserve
Brandon Gibson’s season is over after seven games.

Gibson suffered a torn patellar tendon in Sunday's loss to the New England Patriots and underwent surgery on Monday. He was enjoying a nice season as Ryan Tannehill's main slot weapon, finishing with 30 catches for 326 yards and three touchdowns in seven games. Gibson previously spent the past four seasons with the St. Louis Rams before signing with Miami in the offseason.
Gibson's loss is another blow to a reeling Dolphins team. Miami has now lost four games in a row and can ill afford any more bad luck. The Dolphins are now down to Mike Wallace, Brian Hartline and Rishard Matthews on the depth chart after losing Gibson. They may end up signing a veteran free agent this week, although a trade is unlikely with the deadline set to pass on Tuesday.
