Patriots sign WR Austin Collie, according to report
New England added a wide receiver on Thursday to compliment some of its youngsters.

Collie made his name as a receiver for the Indianapolis Colts when Peyton Manning was still singing the pigskin there, catching 60 passes for 676 yards his rookie season back in 2009. However, his career began to fizzle shortly thereafter.
Collie has had major issues with concussions throughout his NFL time, playing in only nine games in 2010 and one in 2012. He signed with the San Francisco 49ers this offseason but could not stick with the team, ultimately getting released from the defending NFC champions.
New England has had plenty of turnover at the receiver position since the start of the offseason. The Patriots let Brandon Lloyd walk along with Wes Welker, while Rob Gronkowski has been out with forearm and back injuries and Danny Amendola nurses an injured groin.
