Buffalo Bills quarterback Thad Lewis was held out of practice Wednesday. Rookie Jeff Tuel took reps with the starters in his place.
Thad Lewis sits out Bills practice, Jeff Tuel gets starter reps
Thad Lewis is sitting out practice after taking a beating last Sunday.

Lewis is not believed to be injured, but he's possibly taking a day of rest after taking a beating in last week's loss to the New Orleans Saints. Lewis lost three fumbles and took vicious hits all day. He briefly left the game after being sacked on the first play, but came back in on the next drive. He's not expected to miss Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
E.J. Manuel was dressed for practice on Wednesday, but is not expected to be back for another couple of weeks. Tuel replaced him in Week 5 against the Browns, but looked overwhelmed. The Bills signed Lewis off the practice squad and named the starter the next week. He has looked capable for the Bills, completing 60 percent of his passes for 652 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions in three games.
