The Carolina Panthers' visit to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday could be one of the biggest defensive struggles of a young NFL season. The Panthers boast the league's No. 3 scoring defense allowing just 12 points per game. The Cardinals boast the league's No. 2 rushing defense, allowing just 75 yards per game. Both teams rank among the bottom 10 teams in the NFL in total yards per game.
NFL picks and predictions 2013, Panthers vs. Cardinals: Carolina the favorite among experts
The Panthers are the clear favorites to win what is expected to be a defensive struggle against the Cardinals on Sunday.

The Panthers are favored by nearly a field goal, and judging from what experts are saying around the web they are the favorites for good reason. David Fucillo was the only one among SB Nation’s panel of five experts to select the Cardinals to win.
Elsewhere, the Carson Palmer-led Cardinals get a little more credit, though still not much. Two-thirds of CBS’ panel took the Panthers. Ditto the folks at Yahoo! Sports. Only ESPN deigned to call the game a toss-up, with half of the panelists picking the Cardinals and the other half picking the Panthers.
Don’t expect a lot of points, but if the internet is any indication, you can expect a Panthers victory.
