The Patriots may get a big boost on offense in Week 5 with the return of one of their veteran pass-catchers against the Bengals. Wide receiver Danny Amendola is expected to play on Sunday against Cincinnati, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Danny Amendola injury: Patriots WR ‘good to go’ vs. Bengals
Danny Amendola is making a push to return to the Patriots on Sunday.

Amendola has missed three games after injuring his groin in the season-opener against the Bills. He was signed by New England this summer to fill the void left by Wes Welker, who left for Denver. With Amendola out of the lineup, quarterback Tom Brady has had to rely on a cast of rookies and Julian Edelman as the Patriots have still been able to produce a 4-0 record.
Amendola was listed as questionable on the Patriots’ injury report in Week 5 but has been pushing to play all week long. He had 10 catches for 104 receiving yards in Week 1.
The Patriots play the Bengals in Cincinnati at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.
