Jaguars vs. Rams 2013 results: Blaine Gabbert turns it over 3 times, gets injured in loss

Jacksonville was hoping to win in St. Louis in Week 5, perhaps their best shot at a victory this season, but they came away empty-handed again.

Blaine Gabbert was already having a rough day before he got injured. Leaving with a hamstring injury and not returning just added injury to insult as the Jaguars lost to the Rams 34-20 on Sunday. Jacksonville falls to 0-5, while St. Louis keeps hope alive and improves to 2-3.

Gabbert threw two interceptions, one of which was returned 82 yards by Matt Giordano for a touchdown. He left the game in the third quarter with a hamstring injury and was replaced by Chad Henne.

With the Rams in flux following some recent blowout losses, Sam Bradford helped lead them to their second win of the season. If they had lost to Jacksonville this week, it would have been very bad news for Jeff Fisher and company, but they pull out the needed win.

Bradford had a heck of a day as he finished with 222 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions. Zac Stacy may have given Fisher a running back to watch for, rushing for 78 yards on 14 carries.

Justin Blackmon also broke out in Week 5, catching five passes for 136 yards and one touchdown. Cecil Shorts also had a touchdown. Maurice Jones-Drew was held scoreless.

Injury report

Gabbert left with a hamstring injury and did not return.
