The New Orleans Saints look like one of the top teams in the NFC after staying undefeated with a Week 5 win over the Chicago Bears.
Saints vs. Bears 2013: New Orleans riding high at 5-0
What’s not to be excited about in New Orleans?
The defense was again impressive for New Orleans, putting the clamps on Brandon Marshall and holding the Bears to just 18 points. The Bears had a frustrating afternoon in a home game that was a big measuring stick for the team.
Over at Windy City Gridiron, growing pains were expected:
With a new head coach, new offensive coordinators, new defensive coordinator, and two rookie offensive linemen, Bears fans should expect some growing pains. Let’s just hope those growing pains don’t last more than another few games, if they plan on making an appearance in the 2013 postseason.
The Saints had a more positive outlook on Sunday’s game. Why not given the undefeated record? Here are the highlights of the Saints’ performance from Canal Street Chronicles:
Jimmy Graham was in hero mode as usual. He finished with 10 catches for 135 yards.
Pierre Thomas shined in his hometown of Chicago, with 92 yards rushing and receiving and had the Saints' only two touchdowns.
Garrett Hartley was a perfect 4-of-4 on his field goal attempts, making kicks of 47, 19, 36, 48 yards.
