The Seattle Seahawks made a big splash over the offseason, trading for wide receiver Percy Harvin, and they may be closer than ever to getting a return on that investment. Harvin, who had hip surgery in the offseason, is nearing a return, according to Liz Matthews of ESPN.

Harvin resumed running last week, and the Seahawks will have a better idea of a target date for his return in the coming weeks. But right now, the outlook is more positive than it was when Harvin first went under the knife.

Michael Vick not in dagner of losing starting job

Michael Vick injured his hamstring in Sunday's win against the Giants and is likely out for the Eagles' Week 6 game against the Buccaneers. However, Vick is not in danger of losing his starting job, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Nick Foles played well in relief of Vick, but once Vick is healthy enough to play, he should resume his role as the Eagles' starting quarterback.

Zac Stacy will start for the Rams against Houston

For the first time since Steven Jackson left town, the Rams had some balance on offense in Week 5. Was it because they were playing against the Jacksonville Jaguars, or did rookie running back Zac Stacy have something to do with it? The Rams seem to think Stacy was part of the solution, and they are giving the rookie a second-straight start against the Texans this weekend.

Gary Kubiak evaluating Texans’ quarterback position

Matt Schaub has given coach Gary Kubiak no choice but to consider a quarterback change. The veteran Texans signal-caller threw a pick-six for the fourth-straight game in a 34-2 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday Night Football. He seemed to get worse as the game went along and hasn't looked comfortable for most of the season. T.J. Yates isn't the most appealing alternative, and Kubiak has said he will stick by Schaub, but Texans reporters are speculating that Houston's coach is thinking about pulling the plug.
