Conflicting reports emerge from Matt Schaub house confrontation
Houston police say a lone man was seen taking photos from the driveway, while NFL security has confirmed a fan shouted obscenities from the street.

The Houston Police Department announced Wednesday morning that no group of angry fans gathered outside the home of Matt Schaub on Tuesday night, contradicting initial reports. A family member reported a lone man photographing the residence from the driveway.

NFL Vice President of Security Jeff Miller, meanwhile, confirmed to Ian Rapoport Wednesday morning that fans had in fact shouted insults from the street:
This is a little unusual in that we don’t normally have fans acting in this way, going to a players residence that sort of thing. In this case, Monday afternoon, a vehicle pulled into his driveway, an unidentified individual yelled obscenities. The police department is involved. We’ve been in contact with them as we normally would for anything like this. And because its a team issue, they have a security director, we work with them.

Two fans showed up at Matt Schaub's house this week to voice their displeasure over the quarterback's recent struggles. Neither Schaub or anyone in his family was hurt, and the fans left before police could respond, according to a report from CBS Houston.
A source close to law enforcement told the Fred and Ted Show that NFL Security contacted Houston police after fans berated Schaub at his house.
“A fan went to his house and told him off,” the source said, via CBS Houston.
The other person allegedly took pictures of Schaub's family and posted them on Facebook, according to the report. Schaub and the Texans contacted NFL Security, who asked for assistance from the Houston Police Department. No arrests have been made.
The incident came after Houston’s 34-3 loss to San Francisco, in which Schaub threw for just 173 yards and was picked three times. He was benched during the fourth quarter. One of his interceptions was returned for a touchdown, the fourth straight game Schaub has had an interception returned for a score, an NFL record. He now has nine interceptions on the season, second only behind Eli Manning’s 12.
Amidst the turmoil have arisen grumblings for Schaub's benching. Head coach Gary Kubiak fueled the fire by replacing the 10-year NFL vet with backup T.J. Yates late in the 49ers loss. Kubiak has not yet named a starter for next Sunday's game against the Rams.
