The biggest fine of the week, though, went to Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict, who earned a $21,000 fine for striking Jets wide receiver Stephen Hill with the crown of his helmet, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. The fine is the third of the season for Burfict, who has already racked up a $52,000 bill in 2013.
Three Broncos players earned fines, according to Florio, as defensive linemen Kevin Vickerson and Malik Jackson each drew $7,875 fines for late hits, and linebacker Wesley Woodyard was charged $15,750 for a helmet-to-helmet hit on quarterback Kirk Cousins.
Similar $15,750 fines for helmet-to-helmet hits were dished out to Falcons defensive back William Moore and defensive end Osi Umenyiora, according to Rapoport. Rounding out the Week 8 fines were $7,875 charges for Bills defensive end Mario Williams, Browns cornerback Joe Haden, Jets wide receiver David Nelson and Lions tight end Joseph Fauria.
