The struggling Atlanta Falcons will see the return of linebacker Sean Weatherspoon in Week 11 as he is set to return to practice on Wednesday, the team announced on Monday. He was placed on injured reserve with a designation to return after suffering a Lisfranc injury in Week 2.
Sean Weatherspoon injury: Falcons LB will return to practice on Wednesday
Weatherspoon is eligible to return to the Falcons’ lineup in Week 11, nine weeks after he suffered a Lisfranc injury that sent him to injured reserve.

Weatherspoon, 25, was a first-round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft and became a full-time starter for the team in 2011. After recording four sacks, eight passes defended and 125 tackles in his second season, Weatherspoon was named a team captain in 2012 and was the recipient of defensive play calls.
Starting in Weatherspoon’s place at the weakside linebacker position has been undrafted rookie Paul Worrilow. In five starts for the Falcons, Worrilow has recorded 55 tackles, but the team has allowed the fourth-most points in 2013.
The Falcons will look to snap a three-game losing streak in Week 11 when they travel to face the winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
