NFL injury report, Week 10: Peyton Manning escapes serious injury, and other news in the AFC West

The Denver Broncos survived a scare in Week 10 as it was revealed after an MRI that Peyton Manning did not suffer any new damage to his ankle.

Manning will play Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs in a vital divisional matchup that holds huge significance to playoff seeding in the conference. It was unclear whether Manning could play given the injury, even though he made statement following the game that he intended to play.

The veteran quarterback took exception when he was hit around the legs late in the game against the San Diego Chargers. No penalty was called on the play for roughing the passer and there has been no further update whether the Broncos will file a complaint to the league to look at the play.

San Diego was also ravaged by injuries in Sunday's game. They lose fullback Le'Ron McClain, linebacker Larry English and offensive tackle King Dunlap.

McClain rolled his ankle and did not return. There has been no official update on his status at this time, but it’s expected he will be able to play in Week 11.

The loss of English is damaging to a team already lacking pass rush. He injured his biceps and did not return on Sunday. No official update has been given on his status, but if he is unable to play the team will likely lean on rotational linebacker Thomas Keiser, who has 2.0 sacks on the season.

King Dunlap sustained a concussion and was also forced out of Sunday’s game. The team have not update his status, but he will have to undergo the league’s concussion protocol in order to return to practice.
