Dolphins postpone meeting with Jonathan Martin on NFL’s request

The Dolphins won’t be meeting with Martin on Wednesday as originally planned.

The Miami Dolphins have agreed to postpone their meeting with offensive tackle Jonathan Martin indefinitely. The team had originally planned to meet with Martin on Wednesday, but the league requested that they delay that meeting. Ted Wells, the lawyer representing the league, wanted the chance to meet with Martin before owner Stephen Ross. Ross is complying with the request.

The NFL has launched an investigation into allegations of bullying inside the Dolphins room. Richie Incognito is the main suspect in the investigation. Both men are off the team -- Martin left the Dolphins several weeks ago and Incognito has been suspended by the team indefinitely.

Dolphins owner Stephen Ross vowed to meet with Martin soon and get his side of the story, but the NFL has stepped in. It's another wrinkle in the ongoing saga that appears to have no end in sight. Things haven't been any easier on the football field -- the Dolphins fell to 4-5 and handed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers their first win of the season on Monday night.
