AFC playoff picture: Chiefs vs. Broncos will determine seeding

Sunday's game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos is a must-watch. It's a chance to see Peyton Manning face off against the league's top pass rush, while giving the Chiefs an opportunity to prove they're not the pretenders so many bill the 9-0 team to be.

There's a lot of talent in the AFC West as the San Diego Chargers are still in the hunt for a wild card at 4-5. At this stage it's unrealistic to believe they can catch the Broncos or Chiefs, but the Chargers are just one game out of sixth place in the conference. San Diego has a tough schedule down the stretch, but it's conceivable three teams come out of the AFC West in 2013.

The New England Patriots hold a two game lead in the AFC East and face a stiff competition in Week 11 as they face off against the Carolina Panthers on Monday Night Football. This game will determine whether the New York Jets can realistically challenge for the division, while the Miami Dolphins face a must-win game against the Chargers to stay in the race.

Cincinnati holds a tenuous lead in the AFC North, but are forced to fend off two talented teams that are right on their heels after the Bengals dropped two straight games. Quarterback Andy Dalton has been inconsistent over the last two weeks, making Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns vital. A loss would put the Browns one game out of first place, while the Baltimore Ravens are still in a position where they could challenge the top of the division.

The AFC South remains the only clear race at this point. Indianapolis holds a two game lead over Tennessee, but the Titans just placed quarterback Jake Locker on injured reserve and are coming off an embarrassing loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
