NFL news roundup: Dwayne Bowe will play; Aaron Rodgers hopes to return Week 12

The Green Bay Packers are anxious to get Aaron Rodgers back, and he’s targeting an ambitious return date.

The Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos will play on Sunday Night Football in Week 11, a game which has major implications in the AFC West division title race.

Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe, who was arrested for speeding and possession of a controlled substance on Sunday night, will play for Kansas City against Denver this week. Whether or not the league will discipline Bowe for the arrest remains to be seen, but according to ESPN, Bowe will be on the field this week.

Aaron Rodgers hopes to return Week 12

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers fractured his collarbone against the Chicago Bears in Week 9, but he hopes to return as soon as Week 12. Rodgers didn't want to rule himself out for the team's Week 11 game, but said Week 12 is a more realistic goal.

Todd Christensen dies at age 57

Former Oakland Raiders tight end Todd Christensen died on Wednesday after complications from surgery. He had formerly struggled with liver disease. Christensen was a five-time pro bowler and two-time Super Bowl Champion.

Da’Quan Bowers dealing with concussion symptoms

Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive end Da'Quan Bowers is dealing with concussion symptoms after the team's Week 10 win over the Miami Dolphins. Bowers was in the game on the final series, so it's unclear when he suffered the injury. He recorded his first sack of the season on Monday night.
