Incognito is seeking back pay. With a base salary of $4 million, Incognito loses $235,294 for every game he misses due to suspension.

Richie Incognito is taking the Dolphins to task for back pay after receiving an indefinite suspension in the wake of Jonathan Martin’s allegations of harassment.

Should he serve the full suspension, Incognito will be docked $1,276,470.59 from his paycheck.
Incognito has requested an expedited hearing from a neutral arbitrator. Should the arbitrator overturn the suspension, the Dolphins would be forced to carry Incognito on the roster or release him. Should the arbitrator side with the Dolphins, Incognito's suspension will end no later than Dec. 2 after the team's Week 13 bout against the New York Jets.
Incognito was suspended Nov. 3 after Jonathan Martin’s abrupt departure from the team amid accusations of harassment. Incognito sent Martin threatening and racially charged voicemails and text messages over the last two seasons, though Incognito has defended himself by saying that he and Martin had a close relationship, and that Martin was a willing participant in their colorful exchanges.
