Falcons vs. Buccaneers 2013 final score: Tampa Bay dominates, 41-28, for second consecutive win

The Bucs rode Bobby Rainey to an easy win over their NFC South rivals as the Falcons nightmare season continued on Sunday.

Bobby Rainey found the endzone three times and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers dominated the Atlanta Falcons, 41-28, for their second win of the 2013 season.

Rainey, in the starting lineup thanks to season-ending injuries to Doug Martin and Mike James, rushed for 162 yards and two touchdowns and caught another score as he ignited a Tampa Bay team that won its second consecutive game after beginning the season 0-8. They beat the Dolphins last week, 22-19.

The Falcons, who entered 2013 with sights on a conference championship, saw their nightmare season continue as they drop to 2-8.

The game started slow, with the first quarter ending 3-0 in favor of the Buccaneers. Tampa Bay broke things open in the second quarter, thanks in part to Rainey’s two rushing touchdowns. He scored his first from 43 yards out with 10 minutes remaining in the quarter. He then added a three-yard score to send the Bucs into the locker room with a 24-6 lead.

Rainey's touchdowns were book-ended by a pick-six by Mason Foster, who grabbed an errant pass from Matt Ryan and raced 37 yards back for the score.

Rainey's third score came on a four-yard pass from Mike Glennon to start the third quarter.

The Falcons scored two garbage-time touchdowns on big plays from Antone Smith and Roddy White.

Fantasy studs and duds

Rainey was a fantasy monster, but Glennon wasn't a bad play himself, throwing for 231 yards and two touchdowns. His favorite target was Vincent Jackson, who grabbed 10 receptions for 165 yards and a score.

Ryan had another difficult day, throwing one touchdown and two picks. Douglas had a good day, going for 134 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Did they cover?

The Bucs entered the game as one-point favorites, according to Oddsshark.com, meaning they easily covered.
